We are the leading sports services company in the UK. We are a motivated team of individuals providing market leading services to mass participation events. Our timing technology and experienced staff enable event organisers to put on top class events. In 2021 we timed the UK’s leading events, covering the whole of the UK.
We are currently looking for weekend staff to assist with the timing of mass participation sports events within the UK; Running Races, Triathlons, Cycling events, etc. Events occur most weekends, and we require a commitment of at least 10 in a year. The events are usually on a Sunday although some require an overnight stay prior to the event. We pay a standard rate for a 1 day event and an additional sum if an overnight stay is required. Full training is given and all expenses are covered, transport, accommodation,subsistence etc

For both timers and assistants we require you to be professional in your manner, work well with customers,have an interest in sport, live within East Yorkshire or surrounding areas ideally be over 25 and thrive on a challenge. These positions are part time with excellent rates of pay. Company vehicle provided for the right committed individual.

 Your role as a Race Timer:  Your role as an Assistant Timer:
  • You are responsible for producing all results on the day.
  • To manage client expectations and communications on the day.
  • Be responsible for correct event set-up.
  • Management of event team.
  • Deal with any post event enquiries.

 Skills required:

  • Good communication
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Hold a driving licence
  • Experience of using ‘Excel’
  • A basic knowledge of RFID technology and mass participation races is an advantage but not essential.
  • Assisting the event timer in the timing
  • Setting up equipment

For events that require an overnight stay there will be an additional payment

Race timers generally start by assisting at events and then progress onto becoming a race timer
