Yorkshire Coast Trail Series 2025: Grit, Glory, and Coastal Triumphs
Bridlington, 5 October 2025 From the windswept cliffs of Flamborough to the cheering crowds on Bridlington’s seafront, the Yorkshire Coast Trail Series delivered a day of unforgettable endurance and community spirit. With distances spanning 5K, 10K, and the headline 22K, runners of all levels rose to the challenge and the results are in.
22K Trail Race Highlights
The 22K race saw fierce competition across age groups and clubs, with Spencer Higgins of Cleethorpes AC claiming the overall win in 01:27:33, leading the MV40 category. Close behind was Stuart Smith (Pocklington Runners), topping the MV50 division with 01:32:48, followed by Tom Mullen (Bridlington Road Runners) in 01:34:35.
Among the women, Megan Walker of St Albans Striders dominated the FOPEN category, finishing first in 01:39:11, followed by Bex Pickles (01:50:41) and Daisy Parker (01:51:18).
Notable Performances
- George Foster led the MOPEN category with 01:36:13
- Paul Cartwright (City of Hull AC) topped MV60 in 01:44:09
- Rachel Dare (Pocklington Runners) won FV55 in 01:55:38
- Anna Cuthbertson (Pocklington Runners) led FV35 with 01:57:39
