Our Pro Bib Tag is a thin, flexible electronic chip attached to the back of each runner's race number. Runners pin on their number as normal, and we do the rest.

Our official results use gun time: the clock starts at the starting signal, so the first runner across the finish line is first in the results. We record chip time for every runner as well, so everyone can see how long their own run took.

What is chip timing for a running race?

What is the difference between chip time and gun time?
Gun time runs from the starting signal until you cross the finish line, and it is the time we use for official results. Chip time starts when you cross the start line and stops when you cross the finish, so it shows how long your own run took. We record both for every runner.
How much does chip timing for a running event cost?

Race Day Live is our free service that comes with every event we chip time. It brings together free live tracking, a live finish line video and live results, so runners, family and friends can follow the race wherever they are.
